The Royal Family still regularly visit this Castle and have done since Prince Albert bought it in 1852. He also designed the present castle as a gift for his wife Queen Victoria. The present castle was finished in 1855. The only room that visitors can see is the grand Ballroom where you can see paintings from the royal collection, royal tartans, silverware and porcelain.
